Gap Year Program at EKS
Embark on a transformative journey with our Gap Year program launching in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Perfect for recent high school graduates, our program offers a robust biblical foundation and relevant, apologetics training.
Program Overview - Trained Disciple (T.D.) Certificate Program
The Gap Year program at Eternal King School of the Bible is designed for recent high school graduates who are undecided about their college plans or wish to establish a strong biblical foundation. This one-year program spans two semesters, with four classes each, focusing on biblical interpretation, ministry training, and missions preparation. Each student who completes the program will receive a T.D. Certificate signed by the Board of EKS.
Eligibility Criteria
The Gap Year program is available to high school graduates who are looking to deepen their biblical knowledge and grow in their faith before deciding on their future academic or career path.
Core Classes
The T.D. Certificate program includes a core set of classes. Students may request to take additional, elective courses, during any semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) provided they can manage the coursework. The eight (8) required classes in the Gap Year program are:
Bible Interpretation & Worldview (BI 100 & BI 500)
The New Covenant (NT 100 & NT 500)
The Gospels (NT 101 & NT 501)
The Old Covenant (OT 100 & OT 500)

Hands-On Experience
We believe in learning by doing. Gap Year students are encouraged to serve locally in Bible-believing churches or Christian ministries. This hands-on experience is invaluable for understanding real-world ministry and missions work.
